Voyager 1, gazing back at our home planet from the edge of the solar system, captured a fleeting "blue dot," a glimmer of light that highlights humanity's insignificance yet also celebrates our unwavering pursuit of the unknown. Science leads us to scale towering peaks and journey through distant galaxies, all beginning with grounded learning and diligent research. When students immerse themselves in the wondrous world of science, exploring it with fervent interest, they discover that the dazzling array of knowledge is, in fact, within their grasp.

在师生们的热情期待中,“科学大使活动”拉开绚丽帷幕，开启了为期两天的精彩旅程。本次活动由初级解剖学家、初级生物社、初级化学社、初级物理社及环保社等来自多个中学部科学社团的学生共同筹备数周完成，共有超过30个互动展位，涵盖化学、物理、生物等多个学科领域。活动中，中学部的学生化身“科学大使”，将抽象的科学知识转化为生动有趣的互动课程，为小学部的同学们带来了一场难忘的科学探索盛宴。

Amidst the enthusiastic anticipation of teachers and students, "Festival of the Science Ambassadors" kicked off with a splendid start, embarking on a wonderful two-day journey. The event takes several weeks of preparation from several clubs (Junior Anatomist, Junior Biologist, Junior Chemist, Junior Physicist, and Environmental Science club) and several senior students. The ambassadors include students from all grades of upper school, and the event covered two days and included over 30 booths. Preparations are more than just conducting experiments; students serve as Ambassadors for Science to turn scientific concepts into a mini lesson for primary students.

The chemistry exhibit attracted many students with its intuitive and fascinating experiments. The "Iodine Clock Experiment" reveals the secrets of chemical reaction rates through alternating color changes; the "Baking Soda Volcano" simulates the violent reaction between acidic substances and sodium bicarbonate. In addition, the "Compound Copper (II) Sulfate" can “shake up”protein and that is what helps copper(II) sulfate stop microbes and keep things fresh, while the "Traffic Light Reaction" visually demonstrates the redox reaction through a cyclical color change.

The physics exhibit brought many abstract principles to life. The "Rotational Inertia" experiment uses models and vivid explanations to help students understand the formula more intuitively; the most popular "Electric Field Hockey" made the distribution of electric field lines clear and interesting through a game. Meanwhile, the "Dry Ice Wonderland" created a misty atmosphere, and the "The Magic of Ice" brought a freezing magic, together demonstrating the wonderful moments of material state transformation.

The biology exhibition area opened a window for students to understand life. From the simulated ecology of "lizard habitat" and " South American Amazon" to the "cardiovascular system" model showcasing biological structures, and the hands-on "bullfrog and fish dissection" activity, students were able to explore the structure and mysteries of life from multiple perspectives.

At the booth, we saw focused eyes and eager hands. The allure of science lies precisely in this simple curiosity and persistent experimentation. We hope this natural yearning for the unknown and the passion for hands-on verification will accompany students as they soar to greater heights.  To inspire students' curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring the scientific world, the school organized G3 students to visit the Vamos Future Hall, embarking on a fascinating scientific exploration journey. Through interactive experiences and hands-on activities, they personally experienced the charm of science and technology.

水循环是一个持续不断、动态平衡的过程，也是降雨形成的关键。通过老师的讲解，学生们不仅了解了雨的形成机制，也直观认识到这是水循环中“凝结与降水”环节的具体体现，从而更好地理解地球环境的动态变化规律。

The water cycle is a continuous, dynamically balanced process and a key element in rainfall formation. Through the teacher's explanation, students not only learned about the formation mechanism of rain but also intuitively recognized that it is a concrete manifestation of the "condensation and precipitation" links in the water cycle, thus gaining a better understanding of the dynamic changes in the Earth's environment.

实验室内陈列着各种先进器材与模型，学生们可清晰观察不同建筑结构在模拟情景中的表现。在老师的指导下，大家亲手体验榫卯结构的巧妙之处，对建筑科学有了更为真切的感受。

The laboratory displays various advanced equipment and models, allowing students to clearly observe how different architectural structures behave in simulated scenarios. Under the guidance of teachers, everyone personally experienced the ingenuity of mortise and tenon joints, gaining a more tangible understanding of architectural science.

学生们学习了不同时期汽车的构造与工作原理，并兴致盎然地参与到汽车组装实践中。通过亲手操作工具，体验从零部件到整车的制造过程，大家不仅深化了对汽车结构的理解，也燃起了对汽车技术的兴趣与创新热情。

Students learned about the structure and working principles of automobiles from different periods and enthusiastically participated in automobile assembly practice. By operating tools firsthand and experiencing the manufacturing process from parts to the complete vehicle, they not only deepened their understanding of automobile structure but also ignited their interest in automotive technology and their passion for innovation.

互动体验区里，学生们在欢声笑语中体验投篮、冰壶、眼疾手快等趣味游戏，学生们在游戏中调整姿势、默契配合。每一次命中或失误，都是身体与思维协调的练习，也悄然传递着合作与鼓励的意义。 

In the interactive experience area, students enjoyed fun games such as basketball, curling, and quick reflexes amidst laughter and joy. They adjusted their postures and developed teamwork skills through these games. Every successful shot or missed attempt was an exercise in coordinating body and mind, subtly conveying the meaning of cooperation and encouragement.

热缩片是一种遇热会收缩的特殊胶片，可用来制作挂饰、胸针等小饰品。学生们先在片上绘制图案，经过加热后，见证平面作品转变为立体小物，创造的乐趣不言而喻。

 Shrink film is a special type of film that shrinks when heated, making it ideal for creating ornaments, brooches, and other small trinkets. Students first draw their designs on the film, and after heating, witness their two-dimensional creations transform into three-dimensional objects—the joy of creation is undeniable.

一场精彩纷呈的科学秀热烈上演！液氮空气炮带来视觉震撼，液氮玫瑰绽放瞬间唯美，掌中火实验奇妙有趣。表演融汇了物理、化学等学科知识，通过“消失的灰烬”“气球瘦身”“液氮爆炸”等生动实验，将复杂的科学原理直观呈现，引来学生们阵阵惊叹。

A spectacular science show unfolded! The liquid nitrogen air cannon delivered a visually stunning experience, the liquid nitrogen rose bloomed with breathtaking beauty, and the palm-sized fire experiment was wondrous and fascinating. The performance integrated knowledge from physics, chemistry, and other disciplines, presenting complex scientific principles intuitively through vivid experiments such as "disappearing ash," "balloon slimming," and "liquid nitrogen explosion," eliciting gasps of amazement from the students.

This event planted a seed of anticipation for exploring the unknown in the children's hearts and sparked their whimsical imaginations about the future of technology. 伴随着暮春的微风，第三学季画上圆满句号，学生们迎来第四学季的新篇章。为表彰学生们在第三学季的坚持、耕耘与杰出表现，各班级开展了温馨欢乐的颁奖典礼，点亮精彩时刻。

As the gentle breeze of late spring brought Q3 to a successful close, students embarked on a new chapter in Q4. To recognize the students' perseverance, hard work, and outstanding performance during the quarter, each class held a warm and joyful awards ceremony, illuminating these memorable moments.

在小学低段的颁奖礼上，我们尤为重视品格的塑造。一至三年级的孩子们正处于习惯养成与价值观萌芽的关键期，我们坚信，良好的品格与行为习惯是受益一生的基石。因此，除了学业进步，我们更致力于发掘孩子们身上的闪光点——无论是“诚实守信”、“尊重他人”，还是“积极进取”、“乐于助人”，每一个奖项背后都是对孩子们坚持的肯定。看着他们稚嫩脸庞上洋溢的自信笑容，我们知道，这颗名为“**品格”的种子，已在他们心中生根发芽。

For the Lower Primary, we place special emphasis on character building. We firmly believe that these formative years are critical for habit formation and value development. Good character and behavioral habits serve as the bedrock for a lifetime of success. Therefore, beyond academic progress, we strive to uncover the unique sparkles in every child—whether it be "integrity," "respect," "excellence," or "service." Each award is a testament to their persist. Seeing the confident smiles on their young faces, we know that the seeds of "excellent character" have taken root and begun to sprout.

在小学高段，各班级也纷纷开展了温暖的颁奖典礼，共同庆祝学生们在学术与品格上的双丰收。除了表彰学术成绩优异的“90分俱乐部”成员外，我们还颁发了11类品格奖项，包括“阅读之星”、“问题解决者”以及“笔记达人”等，全面肯定孩子们在日常学习中展现出的良好习惯与综合素养。特别值得一提的是，本学季我们还设立了“爱因斯坦好奇心奖”，专门颁发给在科学大使活动中展现出卓越探究精神与提问能力的学生。

In the Upper Primary Division, warm in-class award ceremonies were also held to celebrate our students' fruitful achievements in both academics and character. In addition to celebrating academic excellence with the "90's Club," we proudly presented 11 categories of character awards—including Reading Superstar, Problem-solver, and Notes Expert—to recognize our students' positive habits and holistic development. A special highlight this quarter was the "Albert Einstein Award for Curiosity," which was awarded to students who demonstrated exceptional lines of inquiry during the Science Ambassadors Event.

At the upper school's awards ceremony, teachers and students reviewed their growth and achievements this academic season. The event not only recognized students with outstanding academic performance but also fully affirmed everyone's progress throughout the season. The academic management staff also conveyed the goals and expectations for the fourth academic season to the students at the ceremony.

Humans have finally created the first habitable settlement on Mars! In this exciting chapter of our story, a crucial task emerges: who will help shape the future of this new frontier? For their Quarter 4 project, students in G5 took on a thrilling challenge: to design a comprehensive governance proposal for the first Martian settlement and to win support through speeches.

学生们组成4到5人的团队，充分发挥团队协作能力与批判性思维能力。学生们的首要任务是思考如何定义这个新社区，他们集思广益构想家园名称、设计旗帜、确立核心价值观，并勾勒出社区的基本运行框架。

Working in groups of four or five, students pushed their collaboration and critical thinking skills to the limit. Their first mission was to define the identity of their new community—brainstorming a settlement name, designing a flag, establishing core values, and outlining a framework for their community.

随后，每位成员都通过个人演讲阐述了他们对火星未来的独特构想。接着，团队将这些想法整合成一份具有凝聚力的“**演讲稿”，分工非常讲究策略性：首席发言人与演讲顾问密切合作，打磨演示细节；而创意总监们则在幕后全力以赴，负责视觉呈现和宣传物料的设计。

Next, each team member articulated their unique vision for the future of Mars through individual speeches. Together, they synthesized these ideas into one cohesive and persuasive "Super Speech." The teamwork was highly strategic: the Lead Spokesperson and Speech Advisor refined their presentation, while the Creative Directors worked tirelessly behind the scenes on visual campaigns and promotional materials.

On decision day, students, teachers, and guest judges gathered to listen to each campaign's super speech before casting their votes. The Grade 5 students demonstrated such incredible powers of persuasion that it was almost impossible to choose just one winner!

However, the team of Farius (represented by Feynman W., Adonis C., Yvonne M., Yijin L., and Juleen Z.) rose to the occasion, with Feynman successfully selected as leader. Martopia also (represented by Kenneth B., Shaun T., April S., and Christy C.) claimed victory, with Kenneth taking the leader seat. As children, we often dreamed of being little superheroes who could save the world. But as we grow up, we realize that greatness doesn't necessarily involve earth-shattering feats; even the smallest acts of kindness are invaluable. In the primary school's "Planet Protectors" creative activity club, students are precisely such "little superheroes," engaging in a series of meaningful practical and creative activities centered around the theme of environmental protection.

在老师的引导下，学生们首先了解了当前地球面临的环境问题。随后，大家拿起画笔，发挥想象力，描绘出自己心中“地球守护者”的形象，传递出孩子们对地球未来的美好向往。学生们还亲手制作了小型盆栽，在触摸泥土与种子时，感受到肥沃土壤与茂盛植物的珍贵，体会到我们与自然和谐共处的重要。

Guided by their teacher, the students first learned about the environmental problems currently facing the Earth. Then, they picked up their paintbrushes and used their imaginations to depict their visions of " Planet Protectors," conveying the children's beautiful aspirations for the planet's future. The students also made small potted plants by hand, experiencing the preciousness of fertile soil and lush vegetation as they touched the soil and seeds, and appreciating the importance of living in harmony with nature.

此外，老师也鼓励孩子们践行环保从身边做起，大家学习废旧物品回收知识，并动手装饰属于自己的“创意塑料回收箱”，用实际行动履行“小小地球守护者”的职责。

In addition, the teachers encouraged the children to practice environmental protection starting from their own lives. They learned about recycling waste materials and decorated their own "creative plastic recycling bins" to fulfill their responsibilities as "little planet protectors" through practical actions.

通过俱乐部的活动，学生们不仅锻炼了动手能力与创造力，更在实践过程中建立起对自然的尊重与责任。他们正在用自己纯真而真诚的方式，学习如何爱护我们共同的家园。

Through club activities, students not only honed their practical skills and creativity, but also developed a sense of respect and responsibility for nature through hands-on experience. They are learning how to protect our shared home in their own pure and sincere way.

本周，幼儿部的小海龟们开展了一次趣味十足的手工活动——以动物栖息地为主题，沉浸式探索自然。活动伊始，小海龟们围坐一起，积极讨论着：动物们都住在那里？它们的居住环境有什么？什么样的环境会让它们更好地生活？在大家一言一语的讨论中，我们逐步解锁了动物栖息地的相关知识。随后，小海龟们两人一组，化身自然设计师，挑选自己感兴趣的栖息地，分享心中属于小动物们的家园模样。

This week, students took part in a hands-on learning experience focused on animal habitats. To begin, we discussed different places where animals live and what those environments need to support life. Students then worked in pairs, choosing one habitat to focus on and sharing ideas about the animals that belong there.

小组活动开始后，协作氛围融洽。小朋友们一起商量栖息地的组成元素，制作简单的创作计划，讨论需要用到的材料。在这个过程中，他们学会了认真倾听、轮流发言，更懂得了如何与小伙伴达成共识。计划确定后，创意创作正式开始，小朋友们以小盒子为基地，拿起颜料画笔，让盒子变成不同的动物栖息地，再用各种材料创意添加细节，完成一个个不同的作品。

Working together, partners made decisions about what their habitat would include and created a simple plan. They talked about the materials they would need and practiced listening, taking turns, and agreeing on ideas as a team. Once plans were decided, students brought their habitats to life using small boxes as a base. They painted boxes to match their environments and added details using a variety of creative materials.

瞧！橡皮泥被捏成了可爱的小动物、绿油油的小草和挺拔的树木；棉花摇身一变，成了软软的云朵或白茫茫的冰雪；水宝宝化作蓝蓝的海洋，沙子则还原茫茫沙漠。每一处细节都藏着小朋友们的巧思，每一个亲手打造的栖息地模型都藏着他们对动物生存与安全的思考，这是他们想象力的绽放。

Playdough was used to shape animals, grass, and trees, while cotton wool became clouds, ice or fur. Water beads represented oceans, and sand helped recreate deserts. Each habitat reflects careful thoughts about what animals need to survive and feel safe.

此次主题活动，不仅让小海龟们深入了解了动物栖息地的知识，更在同伴合作中提升了创造力、沟通力和问题解决能力。看着自己的作品，小海龟们满是自豪。在随后的分享环节，他们积极主动、乐于分享自己在创作中的细节与想法。 目前，这些可爱的作品还在持续完善中，期待着小海龟们添加更多小细节，解锁对自然界更多的认知，继续在实践中快乐成长！
